It all started with Samir telling them a story about his former girlfriend Shakira. She now owns an Iphone7, living her dream life and now included among the many fashion stars that Uganda has. Thanks to her new boyfriend Mark who replaced Samir.Mark has made Shakira that girl whom everyone yearns to get.
But what troubles Samir, is where Mark gets the money he invests in Shakira yet he even owns no business apart from working with his Dad at a one shop in Nakasero and sleeping at the hostel whose fees are also provided by the father.
So all the boys within the room started laughing at Samir calling him a failure. "The guy has money and why did you expect the girl to kill her dream just because of love".they said. On this matter, everyone had a different opinion and giving different views basing on perception.Besides Mark, many guys have made their girls expensive and you can't easily trace their actual source of income since most of them still live under their parents' roofs. This troubles the many guys especially those who lost girls to such boys like Mark. Like Samir, he was wondering how he can't invest over $300 just to buy a phone for his girl.
The debate lasted for over 30min without a comment from me since some work had covered part of the mind and completing within a given time frame was the target. "Shakilu help us and supplement" Roy called out loud and I hurriedly replied, "commitment".
There was a momentarily pause as I started to explain myself;" they are not different from us, they earn nothing we don't earn but it's because our fields of commitment are different. They loose nothing to invest all what they have in girls since it's wheretheir happiness lies. Today's love is totally different, if your not committed to provide the best that she wants, my brother don't go for love. Samir your committed to work and you give girls less time but Mark almost everyday preserves time for Shakira. Your field of commitment is work whereas for Mark is love. But it doesn't mean that your not supposed to buy good things for girls, and it's a must because they were created to be given"
That was my point of view and am not saying it's the last one. Am pretty sure we all have different opinions, so feel free to supplement on the topic via the comment box.For more articles visit eyznet.blogspot.com
